产业集聚、企业特征与制造业技术进步——基于江苏省制造业行业的研究

Industrial Agglomeration,Enterprise Features and Technology Progress in Manufacturing——Analysis based on Manufacturing Industries in Jiangsu Province

制造业产业的地区集中能够产生集聚经济(agglomeration economy)效应,促进制造业技术进步。该文在现有集聚经济理论基础上,建立了包含企业异质性的集聚经济模型,分析了企业特征不同时产业集聚对制造业全要素生产率的影响机制。在理论分析的基础上,估算了江苏省制造业行业的区位指数和全要素生产率,运用实证方法分析了产业集聚对制造业技术进步的影响。研究发现产业集聚对江苏省制造业全要素生产率具有显著的提升作用,但集聚经济效应受行业中企业数量、企业所有权等企业特征以及行业规模扩张速度等因素的影响。

The concentration of manufacturing industries can produce agglomeration economy effect and promote the technolo- gy progress. Based on the agglomeration economy literature, we have made an agglomeration economy model with heteroge- neous enterprise features, and analyzed the impact of industrial agglomeration on the total factor productivity in such a situa- tion. We have further estimated the location quotients and total factor productivities of the manufacturing industries of Jiangsu province, and tested the impacts of industrial agglomeration on the technology progress. The results indicate that there is a sig- nificant agglomeration economy effect in the manufacturing industries, and the industrial agglomeration has a positive impact on teehnology progress, hut the agglomeration economy is subject to the number and ownership of enterprises, and the expan- sion rate of the industries.
