指宾状语句不违反控制理论,其状语在受宾语成分统制的补足语位置或附加语位置参与合并,后因引进该补足语的达成范畴没有语音实现为"得"而发生移位或因允准附加语的动词移位而发生移位。经验证据是指宾状语句可以变换为"把"字句或"有"字句。实现为补足语的状态形容词表示宾语的结果状态,实现为附加语的状态形容词表示动作的方式,这使得指宾状语不只有[+结果性]特征。指宾状语句中扩展达成范畴的为致使范畴或存在范畴,这使得其主语为致事或存在者,而不一定具有[+有意]特征。

Sentences with object-oriented adverbials(SOOAs) do not violate the control theory.The adverbial is merged in V's complement or Bec(ome)'s adjunct position c-commanded by the object.It then moves as Bec(ome) introducing that the complement is not realized as DE or the verb which licenses the adjunct moves.Empirical evidence proves that SOOAs can be transformed into BA(把) or YOU(有) sentences.The descriptive adjective realized as complement indicates the causee's result while the one realized as adjunct describes the manner of the action.This explains why SOOAs carry more than a resultative feature.As Bec(ome) can be extended by Caus(e) or Ex(ist) in the SOOAs,its subject which can be Causer or Exister may not have volitional feature.
