From October 17 to November 28, 2012, the 5th International Festival of the National Theatre of China was successfully held in Beijing, China. This biennial drama gala highlights a distinctive theme each session, celebrating "everlasting Chekov", "everlasting Ibsen", "everlasting Shakespeare" and "splendid Asia" over the past four sessions. The drama season this year, featuring the theme of "splendid Europe", saw 9 outstanding productions from 5 European countries.
