On the Generative Mechanism of English Denominal Verbs

基名词的概念意义和附加意义是英语名源动词的语义来源,而某一项义素之所以能够成为名源动词的语义基础,是由于特定的语境和词语搭配关系,通过"视觉化"手段来凸显基名词的某一项义素,然后通过某些衍生手段如比喻、引申等滋生出名源动词在特定语境下的动词语义。名源动词的语义因多种因素的影响呈多样性,因此,名源动词所表达的意义要从多角度进行分析。

Both the basic meanings and the connotative meanings of the parent noun are the semantic sources of English denominal verbs.＂Perspectivization＂ helps to choose certain semantic element of the parent noun as the foundation of the denominal verbs in certain context,then through certain generative devices like metaphor and association new meanings for the denominal verbs can be generated.The involvement of many factors in the generative process of the denominal verbs brings about diverse meanings for them,therefore,the generative process needs multi-angle analysis.
