In this paper,it is summarized the shape of a group of'Zhaozi'(135 pieces) from Jingdezhen kiln,and explored their function by comparison ancient literature.It is point out:'Zhaozi'as test sample,they have be used to after the invention of the Tang and Song dynasties for a long time in Jingdezhen kiln;their shape are dependent on the artisan desired test function,from the punch blank for the development of tube type specimen consisting mainly of a variety of shapes;the contents of the experiment also continues to expand,originally from a single'measuring sintering',for the progressive development of'determination of multiple factors'to test many factors on ceramic manufacturing influence test equipment.
