Burst mode synchronization in ATM passive optical network

摘要 在采用 TDMA协议的无源光网络中 ,突发同步是一项关键技术 ,一般采用基于多相时钟的关键字检测法。本文提出了一种新颖的基于数据延时的突发同步技术 ,采用了高速 FP-GA和 ECL有源延时器的方式实现 1 55Mbit/s突发同步器。由于采用同一主时钟对数据抽样 ,不需要进行相位校准 ,简化了电路的设计 ;相对于传统的 ASIC设计方案 ,该方案具有开发成本低。 Burst mode synchronization is a key technology in passive optical network that utilizes TDMA (Time Division Multi Address) with single mode fiber. For the clock recovery in burst mode transmission, a burst mode synchronizer using keyword detection based on multi phase clock is usually used. In this article, a novel high speed burst mode synchronizer based on data delay is presented. Because the same master clock is used in sampling circuit, phase alignment isn't needed, and the circuit design can be simplified. This synchronizer is implemented by FPGA and ECL active tapped delay line, which can achieve high performance (155 Mbit/s) with low cost, short developing period, and easy migration.
