A novel linear voltage controlled ring oscillator is de veloped and its structure is described. The linearity of the ring oscillator is analyzed in particular. With its simple structure and all MOS realization, it ca n be easily integrated into on-chip syst ems. It has been realized in Charter’s 0 .6 μm CMOS digital process as a part of an on-chip antenna radio communication t est system.
