元代朱世杰在代数学方面的贡献

As a famous mathematician in the Yuan dynasty,Zhu Shijie wrote two well known works,Suanxue Qimeng(Enlightment of Mathematics) and Siyuan Yujian(The Jade Mirror for the Four Elements).In the paper,the author thinks that Zhus major achievments in algebra are:putting forward or generalizing some algebraic concepts;developing the method of deriving an equation with one unknown from a simultaneous equations with up to four unkowns;developing the denotive method of an equation;studying deeply on equations of high degree.The author comes to the conclusion that Zhu was a typical algebrist in the Yuan dynasty and his work climaxed the research in algebra of his time.
