On the Economic Situation of Rural in Late Medieval England

长期以来关于中世纪晚期英国农业生产力发展水平问题,国内外学界一直存在争议。本文通过对中世纪晚期农民土地占有面积、农业生产技术、农业粮食产量和农村产业结构调整等问题的考察,认为该时期英国农业生产力水平在长期发展的基础上有了显著提高,为其首先叩开工业革命的大门奠定了丰富而稳固的基础。

For a long time, there are different opinions about the level of agricultural productivity in the Late Medieval England among the scholars of abroad and domestic. This article studies the areas of farm land of the peasant, agricultural technologies, the production of Corn and the adjustment of agricultural structure in the Late Medieval England. It argues that the level of agricultural produc- tivity in the Late Medieval England is much higher than before for its developing for a long time, this provides a firm base for its first beginning the Industrial Revolution.
