A Supplementary Explanation on Four Characters in the Tsinghua Bamboo Slips

《清华大学藏战国竹简(壹)》的释文十分精审,但偶尔也有释写不准确之处,例如本文所讨论的"鬼"、"害"、"惠"、"■"四字。造成这种失误的重要原因之一,是整理者在写释文的时候没有充分注意古文字的形体特点。本文想藉此引起学术界的重视,在释写古文字的时候一定要注意形体特点。

Although the transcription and commentary in the Warring, state Period Bamboo Slips collected by Tsing hua University （vol.1） were well edited and proofread, this paper aims to point out that a few characters in the edited volume were still not transcribed correctly. The article is going to focus on four characters： gui, hai hui and er . The author also suggests that one major reason for the downfall may attribute to the lack of a full understanding of ancient writing system＇ s graphemic nature. In addition, the article wants to raise concerns in academy with the importance of this aspect.
