孙犁通过编辑和批评家这两个角色,利用编辑《文艺周刊》这个平台,发现、培养和提携了大批的文学新人,完成了文学的代际传承,并间接地参与到了中国当代文学、尤其是新时期文学的建构;然而,作为一个作家身份的孙犁的远去,以及一个身兼编辑和批评家孙犁的诞生,恰好蕴含着极其丰富的身体、疾病、社会、政治等内容,这其中又隐含了多少的时代喟然之叹。从某种意义上说,新时期文学能够和中国现代文学的优良传统实现对接,就不再是空穴来风。

Sun Li is an intellectual with writer, editor and critic triple roles. Indeed, editor of this ca- reer, continued the longest. By editor and critic of these two roles, using the platform of editing ＂literary mag- azine＂, Sun Li found, trained and helped a large number of new literary men, so Sun Li participated in the construction of Chinese contemporary literature in an unique way . However, Sun Li was away as a writer i- dentity, then appeared as an editor, which implies abundant content about body disease, social, political, and other factors, and implies many sighs of the times . Sun Li was involved in the construction of Chinese contemporary literature, especially the Chinese contemporary literature in the new period as an editor and a critic. So that as a literati, by the way of presenting circuitously, Sun Li completed the intergenerational in- heritance of literature. From this sense, the fact that literature in the new period and the literary tradition re- presented with ＂five four＂ realized a butt joint, is no longer a groundless rumor .
