行业信仰、祭祀组织与地方社会——以晚清民国时期四川夹江县“蔡翁会”为中心的考察

The Trade Belief,Sacred Organization and Local Society——an investigation focusing on the CaiWengHui of Jiajiang county in Sichuan province in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

四川夹江县自宋以来以竹纸生产最负盛名,境内各乡业此者众,由此形成了对造纸业祖师蔡伦的崇拜,并产生了相应的行业组织——"蔡翁会"。本文围绕蔡伦崇拜在造纸社区中的历史意义,将"蔡翁会"这一民间信仰组织置于夹江县清末以来社会的发展脉络之中,力图对行业信仰及其祭祀组织在近代中国"民族-国家"建构进程中的作用作出历史性和地域性的解释。

Ever since the Song Dynasty, Jiajiang county in Siehuan province has been widely renowned for its bamboo paper -making, and they formed a consequent organization for worshipping the celebrated teacher ＂ Cailun＂, called the ＂ CaiWengHui＂. Centered upon the historical significance of the worship of Canlun, this paper surveys the folk religion organization CaiWengHui in the context of the social venation since the late Qing Dynasty, and tries to give both a historical and regional interpretation of the role which trade be- lief and sacred organizations played in the process of making the modem Chinese nation - state.
