An Explanation and Illumination on Western Conservatism's View on Property

中国学者一般都认为,保守主义是私有财产的坚定捍卫者,而很少注意到保守主义财产观的内在矛盾。实际上,保守主义所指的财产应分为"软"、"硬"两种,而保守主义所欣赏的只是"硬"财产,对"软"财产只是消极地接受。保守主义财产观的这种内在矛盾,体现了保守主义与当代西方社会财产状况的深刻冲突,同时,也有助于我们分析当代中国财产的状况。

In general,Chinese scholars regard conservatism as a staunch supporter of private property,and pay little attention to its internal tension of the view on property.In fact,the property to which conservatism refer is devided into ＂hard＂ and ＂soft＂ property,the former is appreciated by conservatism and the later is accepted by conservatism reluctantly.Therefore,the profound controversy between conservatism and contemporary western society was revealed.On the other hand,it can help us to analyze the situation of property in contemporary China.
