摘要
本文应用琼斯矩阵分析了光纤的线性双折射和耦合器的偏振性对光纤环形腔特性的影响 ,光纤的线性双折射和耦合器的偏振性使普通单模光纤环形腔带阻输出特性中的谐振峰分裂为两组 ,相应的谐振频率发生偏移 ,偏移量正比于双折射的大小和耦合器的偏振参数。两组谐振峰的相对幅度取决于输入偏振态。调整输入偏振态为 X、Y两线偏振态之一时 ,就仅出现一组谐振峰。环形腔的精细度与光纤的线性双折射无关 。
The effects of linear birefringent properties of fiber and coupler polarization dependence on the characteristics of fiber optic ring resonator are analyzed by means of Jones Matrix. The resonance peaks in the band stop output characteristics of single mode fiber optic ring resonator are splited into two groups because of the birefringence of the fiber and the polarization dependence of the coupler. The deviations of the resonance frequences of two resonance peaks are proportional to the birefringence of the fiber and the polarization properties of the coupler. The amplitudes of the two groups of resonance peaks depend on the input polarization state. Only one group of resonance peak exists if the input polarization state is just one of the two linear polarization states. The fineness of the fiber optic resonant ring is independent of the birefringence of the fiber but dependent on the polarization properties of the coupler.
