中国外交理论创新的三重历史使命

The Trio Historic Missions in the Innovation of China's Diplomatic Theory

经过中国数代领导集体在外交理论上的发展以及中国丰富的外交实践和艰苦的理论探索,中国已经初步形成了以总体思想、战略思维和政策原则为主要内容的特色外交理论体系。当前及今后中国特色外交理论面临凝聚中国特色、强化指导作用和增加世界意义三重历史使命。为此,中国应加强外交"理论自觉",增强外交"理论自信",提高外交理论指导作用。同时要将中国外交理论的要素同各国外交理论互相借鉴和融合,不断增加世界"共性",从而达到"中国特色"和"世界意义"的整体性,使国际主流外交理论更多地体现多元化、多样性和公正取向。

Thanks to generations of China's collective leadership in their contributions to China's diplomatic theories,China's rich diplomatic practice and arduous theoretic exploration,a distinctive diplomatic theory system has emerged consisting mainly of the overarch thought,strategic thinking an,d policy principles.The diplomatic theory with Chinese characteristics at present and in the future will undertake three historic missions,namely,underscores of the Chinese characteristics,the guiding role of the diplomatic theory,and its worldwide significance.Therefore,China has to strengthen awareness of diplomatic theory,self-confidence of the theory,and the guiding role of the diplomatic theory.At the same time,Chinese diplomatic theory should draw on what is good in foreign theories,and vice versa,for sake of becoming more in common with the theories of the world,identifying 'Chinese characteristics' with 'the world significance',and providing the mainstream international diplomatic theories with more pluralism,diversity and fairness.
