甘肃民勤连古城国家级自然保护区鸟类新记录——黑尾地鸦Podoces hendersoni

A New Bird Record of Minqin Liangucheng National Nature Reserve of Gansu——Podoces hendersoni

首次报道了黑尾地鸦在甘肃民勤连古城国家级自然保护区有分布。该鸟为留鸟型,主要栖息在白刺、梭梭等荒漠植物群落中,取食荒漠植物果实及荒漠林昆虫,对控制荒漠林害虫的发生、维持荒漠生态系统平衡具有重要作用。该鸟的发现,说明其分布区由原河西走廊的西端延伸到东端。

It was firstly reported that Podoces hendersoni distributed in Minqin Liangucheng National Nature Reserve of Gansu province. Podoces hendersoni is a resident bird, mainly roosts in desert plant community such as Nitraria spp., Haloxylon ammodendron etc. and feeds on fruits of plants and insects in desert forest, which plays an important role in maintaining the balance of desert ecosystem. The discovery of Podoces hendersoni illustrated that the distribution area of the bird extended from the west of Hexi corridor to the east.
