This paper analyzes some functional mechanism of TheBrain on the basis of expounding its construction principle, works structure, features and knowledge model, such as the organization and retrieval of knowledge and information, importing and exporting of mind mappings, Web publishing and sharing, crea- ting cooperation etc. It also analyzes its applications in project management and constructs a mapping works based on The- Brain＇ s blog articles in order to provide a reference to achieve innovation for the researchers.
