Research advancement of microRNA on bladder cancer

微小核糖核酸(microRNA,miRNA)是一类新近发现的单链非编码小分子RNA,在肿瘤发生发展中起重要作用,且与膀胱癌的生物学过程密切相关。现已证实,miRNA有望发展为用作有效膀胱癌诊断的生物标记,提高膀胱癌的诊断率,成为治疗膀胱癌的新靶标。明确miRNA在膀胱癌中的作用不仅有利于揭示膀胱癌发病的具体分子机制,还将大大促进miRNA在膀胱癌预防、诊断和治疗中的应用。

MicroRNA （miRNA） are a conserved class of small RNAs that regulate gene and protein expression by binding to mRNA leading to mRNA degradation or inhibition of translation, which play a important role in the initiation and progression of bladder cancer. It has been proved that miRNA maybe the potential biological markers for bladder cancer to increase its diagnosis rate. Furthermore, miRNA might provide with new target for gene therapy in bladder cancer. The study on miRNA in bladder cancer could not only be beneficial to clarify the molecular mechanism of cancer, but also promote its application for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
