Since the Western culture flow into China , the concept of liberty has become a subject of research by scholars, and the examination of the connotation of liberty in Confucianism has never stopped. However, the liberty of Confucianism has its own particular cultural background and traditions. In Analects it mainly demonstrates as a state of spiritual experience. This is different from the traditional Western concept of liberty, which acts as a premise of morality and has been endowed with the highest status. Contrastingly, Confucius considers morality as the condition for reaching the experience of freedom and liberty. The difference in understanding the concept of liberty makes some difference between the two cultures, but by gradual interaction, the Chinese and Western can learn from each other and mutually complement.
