The 18th CPC National Congress proposed a goal in terms of multiplied resident income, predicting the rise of consuming will- ingness, anticipation and ability that will mobilize the upgrade of consumption structure, a trend of development and enjoyment type of consumption. Under this circumstance, with the competition of various retail business patterns in terms of department stores, hypermarkets, convenient stores, specialty stores, exclusive shops, shopping malls and discount stores, retail businesses must grasp the opportunity of the consumption structure transformation, adjust the management direction in accordance with the market condition, reform business patterns, foster and create friendly consuming environment to meet the demand of consumers and compete for more market shares.
