In the past 50 years since the founding of New China, China's non-public ownership economy has gone through an evolution course of “zigzag”. We can gain enlightenment from the history of the ownership system, it shows that we must adhere to criterion of the productive forces in the reform of ownership system. As the new century is approaching, efforts must be made to develop and perfect mixed economy, it is a rational choice of China's economic system reform.
