This paper discusses key introduces various traction calculation issues of traction evaluation of elevators, and conditions such as the car loading condition, the emergency braking condition, normal use and running condition and the car stalled condition in detail, and the calculation of the compensating ropes inertial force, the calculation of the suspension ropes inertial force, the calculation of the pulley inertial force, the conversion to the traction wheel shaft moment of inertia and the calculation of tension force of the suspension ropes etc.
