Since the beginning of reform and opening up and particu- larly since the beginning of the 21st century, Chinese peoplehave had a deeper understanding of the importance of human rights, better recognition of progress made in the field of human rights, and more urgent aspirations for further development of human rights in China. At the same time, there are problems and confu- sion that need to be addressed. For example, what is the China model for ensuring human rights？ How should a a theoretical system of human rights with Chinese characteristics be con- structed？ How can self-awareness and self-confidence in the area of human rights be formed？ How can the healthy development of the human rights cause in China be pushed forward？
