Possibilities of Taijiquan’s Entry Into 2020 Olympic Games

在总结分析武术进入奥运会的艰辛努力和历史经验教训的基础上,认为武术"入奥"应首选武术体系中最具代表性的太极拳,应对太极拳进行现代化改造:简化规则、突出个性,突破界限、普及受众,传播普适文化、彰显奥运精神。

The fact that Wushu was not included in the Olympic Games showed that Taijiquan, the most representa- tive item of Wushu, should be introduced and efforts should be made to help it included into the 2020 Olympic Games. Meanwhile, rules of Taijiquan should be more simplified and its special features should be promoted.
