文化的未来走向与今天的选择

The Future Trend and Present Choice of Culture

文化的发展是有规律的,诸如从单一性到多样性、从集权到民主、从束缚到自由、由等级到平等、由封闭到开放、从迷信到理性、从非人道到人道、从保守到进步等等。文化的走向取决于今天的选择,只有遵循规律的选择才是正确的。我们要从社会主义核心价值体系中提炼出核心价值观,提炼核心价值观应该遵循四条原则,即必须反映社会大众共同的本质追求,必须反映出五千年中国文明的优秀成果,必须吸收西方文明适合我们的进步元素,必须反映当代人的新的创造。知识分子在先进文化建设中应该发挥重要作用。

The development of culture follows certain rules,from unicity to variety,from centralization of power to democracy,from restrains to freedom,from hierarchy to equality,from closure to openness,from superstition to rationality,from inhumanity to humanity,and from conservativeness to progress.The future trend of culture is determined by present choice,which can only be right when it follows the rules.We should extract the core value out of the socialist core value system,which should obey the following principles,namely,the reflection of the pursuit of the mass,the reflection of the achievements of China＇s civilization,the advanced elements of western civilization and the new creations of present people.Meanwhile,intellectuals should play their roles in the construction of advanced culture.
