以技术创新为主导的科技型创业在国民经济中发挥的作用日益重要，成为当今国家竞争力的重要指标。国内对科技型创业的研究尚处于概念发展的起始阶段：以“科技型创业”为主题词，选择中英文扩展检索，检索到中国知网收录的直接相关论文仅有52篇，其中学位论文10篇，期刊论文42篇；发表时间多为2004年后。国内学者分别从科技型创业的概念界定、技术经营与技术服务的作用、创新型企业家的演化、个体创业企业的成长、科技企业孵化器的作用、创业企业集群的形成、创业环境变量的影响7个方面进行讨论。在国内学者研究的基础上，提出创业企业家-科技型企业-创业集群-地区产业链升级的科技型创业的研究框架，并指出未来研究的发展方向。
