Objective:To compare the co-infection status of HSV,HBV and HCV in patients with STD and HIV infection, and provide evidence of developing prevention and control strategies. Methods: Serum samples confirmed to be infected with HIV/AIDS,syphilis,gonorrhea and chlamydia by Western blot were tested for HSV2-IgG,HSV2-IgM,HbsAg and HCV-IgG by ELISA.The detection levels were compared between the two groups. Results: Out of 120 specimens in STD group, the positive rate of HSV was 32.5%,HBV was 10.0%,both HSV and HBV were detected in 7 specimens, both HBV and HCV were detected in 2 specimens; In 85 specimens of HIV/AIDS group, the positive rate of HBV was 41.2%,HCV was 18.8%;the specimens infected by more than one virus accounted for 38.8%.Conclusion: Co-infection of HSV2,HBV and HCV in HIV/AIDS patients is more frequent than that of STD patients.
