The Causes of Heavier Damage of Sugarcane Borers and the Management and Control

甘蔗螟虫为害造成的产量和糖分损失,严重制约了甘蔗糖业的发展。本文简单介绍了甘蔗螟害近年来发生趋势,着重从甘蔗引种、种植制度变化、植被与气候、农药使用及基层植保技术力量等方面分析导致甘蔗螟虫发生为害加重原因,并探讨了甘蔗螟虫防治对策,指出因地制宜制定有针对性的综合防治措施是防治甘蔗螟虫的关键。

Sugarcane borers made great loss in the sugar and cane yield, hindering the development of the cane industry. The paper introduced the recent trends of sugarcane borer damage, and analyzed the causes of heavier damage of sugarcane in recent years, especially those refer to sugarcane variety introduction, changes in cultivation habit, climate, pesticide and plant production technology in farmers. The management was also discussed. This paper suggested that the targeted IPM based on the local conditions was the key to control the sugarcane borers.
