库恩的“lexicon”概念评析

On Kuhn’s Conception of Lexicon

lexicon(词汇系统①)是库恩晚年思想中最重要的概念,也是范式的替代物。库恩从语言层面讨论分类学范畴和词汇系统,不再从知觉、方法论和本体论讨论不可通约性,将不可通约发展为词汇系统间的不可翻译性。库恩所阐释的词汇系统具有一定程度的本体论特质,与其世界观念密切相关。从范式到词汇系统的演变表明库恩的思想发生变化,然究其实质其实一以贯之。库恩自称"具有可变范畴的康德主义者"有其失误之处。

Lexicon is one of the most important conceptions in Kuhn’s late thoughts. He inquired the incommensurability thesis from the angle of linguistics, and developed it into the idea of untransletability. Kuhn’s idea of lexicon is of ontological essence, closely related with his worldview. From paradigm to lexicon, it seems that Kuhn’s theories have undergone a radical change, but Kuhn’s fundamental thoughts remain the same. As far as the self-called 'a Kantian with moveable categories' is concerned, Kuhn may have misunderstood something about Kant’s categorical theory.
