An Innovative Probe into the Writing of Undergraduate Thesis for English Majors

在本科毕业论文写作中,主要存在学生的创新基础较差、选题缺乏新意、对论文内容缺乏独特的见解、语言表达不准确等问题,但究其原因主要是学生的创新性思维能力不强,从而影响了论文选题的创新性。因此,我们应加强对学生的创新思维能力的培养,从资料、信息、观点、选题、研究方法等方面挖掘创新点,提高论文的写作质量。

Problems exist in undergraduate thesis writing, such as poor basis for innovation, lack of newness in topics, lack of original ideas in the thesis, inaccuracy in language use, etc. But the most important reason lies in the poor capacity for innovative thinking on the part of the students. Thus, great emphasis should be placed on the cultivation of students＇ ca- pacity for innovative thinking. For instance, we can try hard to dig out newness in materials, information, ideas, topics, research methods, etc, so as to improve the quality of thesis writing.
