译者主客观翻译测试表现的实证研究

An Empirical Study on Performance of Translators in Subjective and Objective Tests

采用主观和客观两种翻译测试题型对翻译学习者进行测试。首先提出假设,认为译者在主观测试和客观测试中会有不同表现。采用题目文字内容相同、题型分为主观和客观两种的测试题,选取青岛农业大学外国语学院120名学生进行了测试,观测受试翻译学习者的不同表现。测试结果表明译者对于这两种测试有不同表现。

How to reliably evaluate the translation performance has been a great concern tor oom translation re- searchers and instructors. The author employed two popular testing models ,one subjective and one objective, to test the performance of translation learners. An assumption was put forward from the outset that the performance of trans- lators on subjective tests should be different from that on objective tests. To verify this assumption, the author select- ed 120 English majors from the College of Foreign Languages at Qingdao Agricultural University as subjects. The subjective tests were mainly,in content,text translation tests and the objective ones were multiple - choice tests. In this research, the texts used in both kinds of tests were the same in content. Results validated the author~ assump- tion,and meanwhile revealed that students performed better in the subjective tests.
