同为东方的两位文化巨人,池田大作与鲁迅先生都曾致力于对人学的思考和培育青年的实践,因而在精神上有着深深的共鸣。池田大作一方面非常赞赏鲁迅对于"立人"的思考和批判国民性的文学创作,另一方面他也像鲁迅一样一直孜孜不倦地进行着"人性革命"的思索,并致力于教育和培养青年的事业。

Daisaku Ikeda and Lu Xun, two cultural giants in the Orient, have accomplished a deep resonance in spirit for their respective devotion to humanist thoughts and youth -cultivating practice. On the.one hand, Daisaku Ikeda exceedingly appreciates Lu Xun for his literary works on humanist thinking and criticism of national character; on the other hand, he, like Lu Xun, has been diligently involved in the thoughts on humanist revolution and perpetually committed to the education and cultivation of young people.
