我国自1951年12月1日推出广播体操后,其随即成为新中国标志性的全民健身方式、身体运动项目和集体性生活形态。新世纪以来,中国的不少机关、单位不同程度出现了恢复做广播体操的现象,广播体操中蕴含的积极、感性和建设性的动作仪式元素引起了体育学、社会表演学、戏剧学和传播学以及人类学等学科的关注。广播体操成为集体主义精神的身体性象征符号,是思想同一化时代的动作标志,承续中国儒家礼仪文化的乐舞形态。其作为动作仪式符号的象征性意义要远远大于其作为健身体育项目的价值。

After Radio Gymnastics was launched on December 1,1951,it immediately became an iconic way of national fit-keeping,an event of body movement and a collective life style in new China.Since the new century,quite a number of organizations and companies in China have resumed doing Radio Gymnastics to different extents,while the positive,perceptual and constructive ritual elements of movement containing in Radio Gymnastics have caught the attention of scholars in disciplines such as science of physical education,science of social performance,dramaturgy and anthropology.Radio Gymnastics has become a bodily symbol of collectivism,an icon of movement in a thought homogenized era,a form of musical dancing of Confucianistic ritual culture in China.The symbolic significance of it as a ritual symbol of movement is much greater than the value of it as a fit-keeping sports event.
