陈福康著《中国译学理论史稿》是我国首部有关传统译论的专著。正如书的引言中所说的,我国翻译理论需要更新与提高。要开展翻译工作研究,提高译学理论水平,就必须首先研究中国译学理论史,先摸清"家底",理清"家谱",才能更图发展。作者主要按照历史发展顺序,接选了一些重要的译论者,分别作介绍和评述。通过评说历代有代表性的,或有校大影响和意义的译论家和译学流派的观点,大致勾画出了中国译学理论的轮廓和梳理出其流变的线索,为研究者提供了充分的资料和参考。本文对其进行了介绍和评介。

History of Translation Theory in China, written by Chen Fukang, is the first book on China＇s translation theory. As it is said in the introduction of the book, our country＇ s translation theory needs to be improved and updated. In order to raise up the theoretical level, it is necessary to study the history of China＇s traditional translation theory, or in Chinese, ＂Jia Di＂（family background）. Thus according to the historical development, the author selects some famous translator＇s theory for discussion and introduction. After the review of some representative and influential translators＇ opinions, the author attempts to draw the outline of China＇s translation theory and sort out its changing line to provide sufficient data and reference for researchers.
