It is the essential strategic materials for the development of high - tech, defense cutting - edge technology and strategic emerging industry. The national 12th Five - Year Development Plan of New Materials Industries clearly stated that the development of the rare earth application materials will be focused. On the basis of collecting systematically national and overseas rare earth resource data, the authors introduce the world distribution of rare earth resources, production, consumption and prices of rare earth materials iglobally, and further analyze the supply and demand of rare earth resources at home and abroad.
