A brief account is given of the flash system of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry Pressurized gasifier, and an analysis is made of the common problems occurring in production, viz. , water entrainment in evaporation hot-water column, erosion and wearing of blind plate at tube end of the column, wearing of the three-way pipe after the pressure reducing valve of the vacuum flash drum, and fouling of black water flash pipe. By taking measures of controlling water quality, adopting wear preventive materials and optimizing process operation, the flash system is assured to run smoothly for a long period.
