新建本科院校学生信息检索能力研究——以钦州学院为例

A Survey on the Information Retrieval Ability of Students in Newly-established Universities: A Case Study of Qinzhou University

信息检索能力是信息时代每个公民都必须具备的基本素质。以钦州学院大学本科生为研究对象,从信息意识、信息知识、信息能力和信息培训四个方面进行了问卷调查和统计分析,指出新建本科院校本科生信息检索能力存在的主要问题。建议:加大文献信息资源的宣传力度;开设文献检索课;举办专题讲座;开展导读工作;改进检索系统界面。

Information retrieval ability is a basic quality essential for every citizen in the information age. Taking the under- graduate students in Qinzhou University as research objects, the author carries out a questionnaire survey and statistic analysis from four aspects namely information awareness, information knowledge, information capacity and information training, points out the main problems of information retrieval ability for undergraduate students in newly-established universities, and suggests that the propaganda of literature information resources be increased; literature retrieval course be developed ; topic lectures be held; reading guidance be carried out and retrieval system interface be improved.
