The article expounds on the problems, contradictions and severe challenges facing traditional industries in sustainable development and points outs that, traditional industries have a decisive position in national economic development, thus using the tendency to become information-based to promote their optimization and upgrading is the key point of accelerating the change of economic development mode. Using Sinopec as an example, it introduces the main measures to promote the harmonization of industrialization and the tendency to become information-based and accelerate the optimization and upgrading of petrochemical industry and forecasts the main points to put forth effort in order to promote the harmonization of industrialization and the tendency to become information-based in future.
