Objective To observe mild hypothermia combined with edaravone on rat with cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury. Methods Preparation of SD rat model of MCAO,reperfusion after inlarcted for 2h.They were divided into sham operation group, normal saline(NS) group, edaravone group and mild hypothermia combined with edaravone group,24 h after reperfusion nerve function deficit score, detection of brain tissue SOD enzyme(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA) concentration, pathologic picture and brain ischemia area are compared.Results(1) Neural function defect score was significantly lower in edaravone group and the combination group than that in NS group, and in mild hypothermia combined with edaravone group, the neural function defect score was significantly lower than that of edaravone group(P 0.01).(2) Compared with sham operation group,NS group,SOD activity decreased with increasing MDA content(P 0.01);and NS compared to the group of edaravone group and combination group, the activity of SOD increased,MDA decreased(P 0.01 ),and there were significant difference between combined group and edaravone group(P 0.01 ).(3 ) NS group, edaravone group and mild hypothermia combined with edaravone group pathological examination were different compared with the sham operation group, but mild hypothermia combined with edaravone group were better than edaravone group, and better than that of NS group(P 0.01).(4) Cerebral ischemia area in NS group, edaravone group and mild hypothermia combined with edaravone group were increased compared with sham operation group, these three decrease and had significant difference(P 0.01).Conclusion Mild hypothermia combined with edaravone were effective on cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury.
