This paper presents the application of the AB PLC5/L40C to the water power slag handling control system of 2 × 300MW fossil fired units in a power plant. The hardware of the system is composed of two industrial computers and two lower redundant hot backup PLCs,whose hardware disposition is discussed as a focal point.
