Expression and Clinical Significance of Matrix Metalloproteinase-13 and Tissue Inhibitor of Matrix Metalloproteinases-3 Protein in Uterine Leiomyoma

摘要 目的观察基质金属蛋白酶-13(MMP-13)和其抑制剂-3(TIMP-3)在子宫肌瘤组织中的表达情况,探讨MMP-13和TIMP-3与子宫肌瘤发生的关系与临床意义。方法采用免疫组织化学方法(S-P法)对57例子宫肌瘤患者进行MMP-13和TIMP-3蛋白表达的检测,并与45例子宫肌瘤瘤旁组织中MMP-13和TIMP-3表达比较。结果 MMP-13和TIMP-3蛋白在子宫肌瘤组织中多呈阳性表达,在子宫肌瘤瘤旁组织中多呈阴性表达,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论 MMP-13与TIMP-3在子宫肌瘤组织中异常表达,可能与子宫肌瘤的发生有关。 Objective To observe the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP- 13) and tissue inhibitor of ma trix metalloproteinases 3 (TIMP- 3) in uterine leiomyoma, and to explore the relationship among MMP- 13, TIMP- 3 and the incidence of uterine leiomyoma as well as their clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of MMP- 13 and TIMP - 3 protein in 57 cases of uterine leiomyoma and 45 cases of uterine fibroids and peritumoral tissues, and the results were compared. Results MMP - 13 and TIMP - 3 were mostly positively expressed in uterine leiomyoma tissues, but mostly negatively expressed in uterine fibroids and peritumoral tissues, and the differences were statistically significant (P ~ 0.05). Conclusions The abnormal expression of MMP- 13 and TIMP- 3 in uterine tissue may be associated with the incidence of uterine leiomyoma.
