研究土司制度应重视对清代档案资料的利用

On the Using of Archives in the Qing Dynasty in Tusi System Research

鉴于目前对土司制度的研究有忽视对档案,特别是清代档案使用的倾向,本文以大量实例论述了清代档案在土司制度研究中的重要价值:清代档案不仅能为土司制度的研究提供第一手的资料,而且还能提供大量为其他文献所未载的珍贵史料,充分利用清代档案,会对土司制度的研究有所突破,并能纠正以往研究中的某些观点和认识。同时指出,利用清代档案,也要认识到档案的局限性,并对档案的真实性进行鉴别。

In view of the present studies of Tusi System there are some tendencies of neglecting archives, especially using the archives of the Qing Dynasty, this paper, based on a large number of examples, discusses the importance of archives of the Qing Dynasty in the study of Tusi system. The archives of the Qing Dynasty not on/y provide first hand information in the study of Tusi system, but also provide the precious historical literature which is not available on the other documents. Making full use of archives of Qing Dynasty will have breakthrough on the study of the chieftain system, and can correct the previous studies of some views and understanding. At the same time, using archives of the Qing Dynasty must aware the limitations of archives and identify the authenticity of archives.
