A Probe into Fundamental English Writing Teaching for English Majors

从对几种第二语言写作教学法的讨论出发,结合基础阶段英语专业生的学习特点及写作中面临的问题,分析教师在英语基础写作教学中的主要任务,力求探索出一条能有效提高学习者英语写作水平的教学方法。

English writing teaching has become a hot research item. This paper is a probe into fundamental writing teaching for English majors. On the basis of the discussion of some popular approaches to English writing teaching, and with the analysis of the study and problems of English majors in their English writing, the paper tries to reveal the teachers＂ main task in fundamental English writing teaching to improve students writing level effectively.
