Surgical Treatment of an Aged Canine with Pyometra

[目的]对1例子宫蓄脓的老龄犬进行手术治疗。[方法]通过子宫卵巢完全切除术,对1例子宫蓄脓的老龄犬进行治疗。[结果]老龄犬进行手术治疗后,生命体征稳定。术前要考虑犬只的生理状态和血压及血糖含量,术中注意监护,术后注意保温及给与抗生素治疗并防止犬只撕咬伤口。[结论]子宫切除术可作为犬子宫蓄脓的治疗方法之一。

[Objective ] The research aimed to treat an aged canine sufferred from pyometra. [ Method ] Using complete excision of ovary and uterus, an aged canine with pyometra was treated. [ Result] After surgical treatment, the aged canine maintained stable physiological states. Before surgical treatment, physiological status, blood pressure and serum glucose content should be observed. The surgical process should be monitored. After surgical treatment, body temperature should be maintained, antibiotic therapy should be given and measures should be taken to pre- vent dog from biting wounds. [Conclusion] The uterus excision could be used as one of treatment methods for canine pyometra.
