寻道之路:“不可说”与“不立文字”——维特根斯坦思想与禅宗思想之比较

The Exploration of Truth: "Expression Not by Words" and "Expression without Words"——The Comparison of Wittgenstein′s thinking with the Zen Buddhism

维特根斯坦一生对哲学的批判、瓦解和创新,成绩斐然,他那种特立独行的个性,以及那富有神秘性的、不可言说的思维方式和"语录体"式的叙述风格与中国禅宗思想有着天然的契合性。维特根斯坦是通过"看"和"显示"来呈现"不可说";禅宗则是通过"默照禅"和"以势示禅"来显示"不可说",二者"殊途同归"。维特根斯坦的思、言和行都与禅修者有着惊人的相似性,从某种意义上看,维特根斯坦可以说是西方世界里的东方禅师。

In his lifetime, Wittgenstein criticized, disintegrated, and innovated philosophy and he made great achievements. His personality of independence, his mysterious and unspeakable way of thinking and his ＂ana＂ narrative style corresponded well with Chinese Zen thinking. Wittgenstein presented ＂the unsayable＂ through ＂look＂ and ＂show＂ while Zen, through the ＂Mo Zhaoehan＂ and ＂Potential and Zen＂. They both ＂reached the same goal by different routes＂. Wittgenstein shared remarkable similarity with the Zen meditators in thought, word and practice. In this sense, it can be said that Wittgenstein was an eastern Zen master in the western world.
