The Practice and Experience of Promoting the Overall Planning System of Urban and Rural Basic Medical Insurance in Guangdong Province

广东省"推进城乡居民基本医疗保险制度一体化"工作被省委、省政府评为实施国务院珠三角发展规划纲要创新一等奖。这充分说明广东省委、省政府对城乡居民医保制度一体化整合的高度重视,也是一项实事求是的评价。广东实现城乡居民医保一体化的过程就是从本省实际出发,坚持理念创新、制度创新、政策创新和管理服务创新的过程。

The project of promoting the integration of the basic medical insurance systems for urban and rural residents in Guangdong Province was rewarded with the 1st prize by the Guangdong provincial committee and provincial government for innovatively implementing the Outline of the State Council Development Plan in the Pearl River Delta. The adward which has been convincingly evaluated highlights that the provincial committee and provincial government have attached the great importance to the overall planning system of urban and rural basic medical insurance. It is significant to run the project by insisting on the innovation in the aspects of idea, system, policy, management and service, according to the local situation of Guangdong Province.
