On C-E Translation of Interpretive Panels as Viewed from Reception Theory——A Case Study of Three Lanes and Seven Alleys

说明接受美学在一般读者及牌示解说词译文读者中的意义。以福州三坊七巷为例,分析在牌示解说词英译中,译者应综合考虑外国读者的期待视野差异、求异求悦需求及阅读时间限制等因素,选取合理的翻译策略,即内容上尽量准确而充分,满足读者求异期待,表达上符合读者习惯,降低译文的阅读难度,提高读者求异过程愉悦度。

This papaer introduces the importance of Reception Theory for common readers and the readers of interpretive panels translation. Taking three lanes and seven alleys in Fuzhou as an example, the paper analyses that in translating, interpretive panels of scenic spots, the translator should take into consideration such factors as the readers＇ horizon of expectation, purpose of seeking pleasure from differences and time limit in reading so as to take the proper measure, i.e., translating the messages accurately and adequately in a way that accommodates the readers＇ reading habits.
