闽西是革命老区。土地革命时期,闽西籍的邓子恢、张鼎丞、杨成武等为闽西苏区的创建和巩固作出了卓越贡献。因受土地革命时期中央苏区重视生态建设传统和闽西传统生态文化的影响,以及他们自身初步确立了生态建设重要性科学认识的原因,建国以来,他们在各自的工作实践中,都表现出了深厚的生态情怀,关心和重视生态建设。他们身上所表现出的热爱自然、尊重自然、付诸实践、身体力行、善于学习、勤于思考的精神品质,是今天我们推进生态文明建设弥足珍贵的精神财富,具有时代价值。

West Fujian used to be the revolutionary bases. During the Land Revolution, such revolutionaries born in west Fujian as Deng Zihui, Zhang dingcheng and Yang Chengwu did great contributions to the founding and consolidation of the Soviet bases in west Fujian. Due to the influence of ecological construction in the Soviet bases during the Land Revolution and the traditional ecological culture in west Fujian as well as their own realization of ecological importance, they showed deep ecological concern in their work since the founding of PRC. They left us a priceless legacy in promoting the construction of ecological civilization with their own examples.
