Chcn Tianchi was an important litterateur who lived at the turning-point of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. He wrote ＂Legend of Bing Yuyuan＂, ＂Legend of Meng Xie＂ and many other stories and poems. He was famous for his ＂Legend of Bing ~uyuan＂ which has a high value in novel structure and ironical language, which plays a very important role in Chinese literature.
