As a peculiar phenomenon in Japanese, compound terms, the study of antonymous compound Chinese token words is of significant importance. The thesis discusses Chinese antonymous compound token words from the perspective of synchronic study, examines its major phases and states of development, and offers a constructive attempt at the study of the lexical history of Chinese antonymous compound token words.
